      Baris Tezcan - Citi Bank - Assistant General Manager, Commercial Banking

      Baris joined Citi in 2000 and has held various positions within CTS. Prior to his current role, he was the Cash Management Head for the Turkey & Israel Cluster and Head of Marketing for the Commercial Bank in Turkey. Baris has 18 years of banking experience, initially at Garanti Bank and Fortis. Baris holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Statistics at METU, and an MBA degree from Bilgi/MBS University joint program. He has been working at Citi since 2000 and he is Assistant General Manager in charge of Commercial Banking and also Deputy General Manager.

      Cihan Vural - Burgan Bank - Executive Vice President, Internal Audit and Control Group

      Cihan Vural graduated from METU Statistics Department in 1992 and worked as research assistant at Dokuz Eylul University and University of West London. He started his professional career at Kocbank in 1995 as business analyst. Between 1995-2008, he worked at Kocbank and Yapi Kredi Bank which are under Koc Financial Services. He worked on projects like internal audit, development of control and enterprise risk management systems, structuring of Internal Audit Center and Information Systems Audit units, implementation of AML and Fraud Prevention and Detection systems. Later he took top management roles like Head of Internal Control Center. Since 2008, he has been working as executive vice president of Internal Audit and Control Group at Burgan Bank A.S. and he is responsible from the management of Audit Board, Internal Control Center and Compliance Department. Cihan Vural is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditing of Turkey (TIDE) and International Fraud Examination Experts Associations (USIUD) and also a member of Ethics Committee at The Banks Association of Turkey. He has CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) and CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) certificates.

      Hakan Aran - Isbank - Assistant General Manager

      Mr. Aran was born in Antakya in 1968. Mr. Aran graduated from Computer Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University and he got his MBA degree on Business Administration from Baskent University. Joining to Isbank in 1990 as Software Expert, Mr. Aran took part in many projects on the areas of Operational efficiency, IT Structuring in Banking, digital banking and technologic transformation. Since 17.07.2008, he has been working at Isbank as Assistant General Manager.

      Ersin Emir , CIA, CISA - QNB Finansbank - Turkey - Chief Audit Executive –

      Born in 1971, Ersin Emir graduated from Management Department of Middle East Technical University. He started his banking career in 1995 at İşbank Internal Audit Department as Assistant Internal Auditor. In 1998 Mr. Emir then continued his career as Senior Internal Auditor in QNB Finansbank and was appointed as the Deputy Chief Audit Executive in 2004. After serving the last two years of this position in charge of the Head Office and Subsidiary Audits, he was appointed as the Chief Audit Executive in March 2011. In addition to CAE responsibilities, he holds a board membership position at Finans Portfolio Management and serves as a consultant to board of directors of Finans Leasing, all of which are financial subsidiaries of QNB Finansbank. As a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors-Turkey (TIDE), Ersin Emir has the professional designations of being Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He took his Master of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from University of London in 2010 and currently continues his academic studies at Business Administration PhD program of Bahçeşehir University in İstanbul.

      Bayram Tuzcu - Ziraat Bank - Head of Digital Banking Department

      Mr. Tuzcu graduated from Software Engineering Department of Vienna Technical University in 2006 and in 2008 he took Master of Science degree from the same university on “Business Eng. and Computer Sc.”. Starting his career at Audit Board of Ziraat Bank as IT Assistant Auditor, Mr. Tuzcu worked as an executive at Operation Center, Human Resources and IT Service Management Departments respectively. Between 2015 and 2016 he worked at Ziraat Technology as Program Management and Application Infrastructure Group Manager. Since February 2016, Mr. Tuzcu has been working as Head of Digital Banking Department and he is responsible from the management of Internet and Mobile Banking, ATM and Digital Branch Solutions.

      Cigdem Carino - Akbank - SVP, Digital Banking Design and Innovation Head

      Cigdem Carino did her undergraduate degree of Computer Engineering in Bogazici University which she also completed her master’s studies in 1995. After a short experience in Garanti Technology, she started working at Information Technology area of Akbank T.A.S. Highly experienced in management having 14 years of managerial experience during 19 years of her professional career. As a head of division and vice president, managed many departments consisting of different competency centers and led the implementations of many IT Systems in a wide range of application areas in nearly every domain in the bank. After being a vice president of different IT departments including Treasury, Investment, Private Banking, Bank Operations, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Credits, Customer and CRM Applications, In April, 2012 she was delegated as the vice president of Akbank IT Direct Banking. At the beginning of 2016, in addition to her role, she was also responsible from Payment Systems and Cash Management. As of the beginning of 2017, she transferred from Information Technologies to Direct Banking Business Unit and currently she has been working as SVP, Digital Banking Design and Innovation Head. Akbank IT Direct Banking Department has grown significantly ever since she is actively in charge of its management. So far Akbank Direkt Banking has been awarded in several important awards competitions including Apps of the Year in GSMA and Gold Stevie Winner in IBA.

      Joined to retail banking head of sales department in Anadolubank in 2003, she has participated in several duties as branch manager and portfolio management. Having 19 years of experience in banking positions,she has worked in Egebank, Alternatifbank and HSBC before joining to Anadolubank. Didem Karaca graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences Business Administration Department in 1998. Still working in Anadolubank as sales department manager.

      Serhat Yildirim - Akbank - Head of Digital Banking Department

      Serhat Yildirim is Head of Digital Banking Department at Akbank Direct Banking unit. Since April 2016, he is leading Digital and mobile banking, banking portals and social media, development responsible from ATMs and kiosks, customer migration, digital customer experience, digital sales, digital marketing and performance marketing teams. Starting his career in Investment Banking and leading establishment of digital platforms and strategies at institutions like Finansbank and Finans Invest, Serhat Yildirim graduated from Geophysics Department of Istanbul University and he got his graduate degree on Finance Management from Istanbul University.

      Tuncer Demirel - Aktifbank - Head of Digital Channels and Payment Systems Application Development Department

      Tuncer Demirel was born in 1971 and graduated from Electric Electronic Engineering Department of Bilkent University in 1993. He started his career at Netas and after completing his military service, he began to work at Akbank Information Technologies (formerly Aknet AS) in 1997. He worked at various positions as systems and application development executive within IT, at core banking and channel applications until 2013 and he successfully worked on numerous projects, had a part in awards and broke grounds. He joined Aktifbank in 2013 as Head of Digital Channels System Development Department within IT. Currently he is Head of Digital Channels and Payment Systems Application Development Department. Installation of Channel infrastructure, New Dealer and Internet channels, nkolaykredi and nkolay card projects are the ones that he worked on at Aktifbank . He is married and father of a child.

      Mucahit Gundebahar - Kuwait Turkish Bank - CIO

      Mucahit Gundebahar has more than fifteen years of IT experience especially in banking and finance industry. He has 5 banking conversion project experiences with different roles. He graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Computer Engineering in 1997, completed his MBA in Bilgi University in 2002 and got his a PhD degree on Business Administration from Halic University in 2016. Between 2005 and 2009 he had worked for Microsoft Turkey as Senior Application Development Consultant. He was Enterprise Architecture and R&D Department Manager at Kuwait Turkish Bank between 2009 and 2012. Currently he is the IT Group Manager (CIO) at Kuwait Turkish Bank. He gives direction to the roadmap of the bank by leading critical R&D projects. He had previously spoken at Gartner Excellent Experience Exchange, Microsoft IT Summit, Banking Technology Summit, Software Architect Conference, local and international academic conferences, university social programs and he has published articles. He taught academic lessons and he had given many written and TV interviews.

      Ersin Taskin – Kod-A - Executive President

      Ersin Taskin graduated from Bogazici University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 1993. He then received MSc Degree from the Biomedical Engineering Institute of the same Department in 1997. He worked as a software developer, engineer and senior manager in various software companies prior to founding Kod-A with his partners in 2006. He worked as the CEO of the company from birth till 2014. He is the Executive President since 2014 and the Chief Software Architect since 2016 at Kod-A. The company has a reputation in developing document management and capture software products and providing records management, digitization and document processes outsourcing services.

      Asil has 17 years of experience in Retail Banking and Digital. He was appointed as Head of Direct Banking in Odeabank in June 2012. In this role, Asil has the responsibility for Internet, Mobile, ATM, Self-service and Contact Center. Prior to joining Odeabank, he held various management positions with HSBC Turkey for 12 years such as Head of Retail Loans and Payments, Head of Digital. He is a graduate of Dokuz Eylul University on Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

      Mr. Burak Erkek, has been Senior Vice President of Internal Audit of Garanti Bank, since April, 2014. He is in charge of IT audits, Remote Audit, Treasury & Risk Management Audits. He has an extensive audit experience within Garanti Bank (Turkey, Netherlands, Romania, Luxembourg, Russia, Cyprus, Malta) & Fortis (Turkey, Malta). He participated to the internal audit department of Fortis, in 2003 and was employed by Fortis for 3 years. In December 2006, he joined Garanti Bank to lead the IT audit function. He designed and developed Garanti Bank’s IT Audit organization, in 2006. Mr. Burak Erkek has expertise in Internal Audit, IT Audit, Remote Audit, Operational Risk Management, E-Banking, E-Commerce, Information Security, Project management, Governance & Compliance, Ethical Hacking, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery and Vendor management. Mr. Burak Erkek has B.S. & M.B.A. degrees, CISA, CEH, CRISC, PMP, ITIL FC, ISO 27001 and BS 25999 LA credentials. He is a member of ISACA, EC-Council, PMI and several global communities.

      Bulent Ersoz is an expert in Payment Systems. He has been working heavily in the finance sector more than 20 years. Currently, Bulent is member of TEB Retail Management Committee and leads TEB’s Issuing and Acquiring Business. His responsibility is in full aspect of the product development, product management, sales coordination, p&l responsibility, vendor relationship of all types of Credit Card, Debit Card, Prepaid Card and Acquiring. With his leadership, TEB has been one of the fastest growing banks in sector in both of the major product lines and strong profit contribution to the Bank.

      Deniz Devrim Cengiz - TEB - Digital Banking Director

      Deniz D. Cengiz was born in 1975 in Izmir. He was a graduate of Bogazici University where he studied Civil Engineering. He started work at Nicholson International as MIS Responsible in 1997. He joined Garanti Bank as an auditor in 1999. He worked in CRM and Marketing Dept. in Garanti Bank as a Segmentation Team Member. In 2005, he joined TEB (BNP Paribas JV) as a CRM and Segmentation Manager. He performed as one of the key members of the core management team responsible in the establishment and growing of retail banking at TEB. TEB have increased customer number from 200k to 1,5m and branch number from 78 to 347 in past three years after BNP Paribas strategic partnership. He was Head of Online Banking from 2007 to 2010. His current responsibilities as Digital Banking Director concern: Internet and Mobile Banking, Remote Sales and Relationships, Digital Marketing, Web Sites and Content Management, ATM and Kiosk Management, Call Center, Mobile Financial Services, Mobile banking, Mobile Payment.

      He was the first resource that BI Technology assigned since the beginning of distributorship. Over the 7 years of BI Technology Distributorship, he is responsible for introduction the Qlik products to Turkish Market and meeting the all technical needs in marketing stage. Thereafter, he performs and operates to give technical, training supports and knowledge transfer to Technical Departments, Sales Department and Partners. Throughout his business life, Engin has led many successful digital transformation & IoT projects especially in the retail, manufacturing, energy and finance industry. Engin, a founding partner of REDESIGN Business and specializes in Business Design, Service Design, Design Thinking, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. He has been working in Strategic Marketing field in KOBIL System for the last 3 months.

      Jean-Philippe Bersier - ERI Bancaire - Director, Business Development

      Jean-Philippe Bersier is a long term career professional within the software and IT services business having held senior management positions for large prestigious international & Swiss companies. He has more than 15 years of experience in sales and consulting for large IT projects in the banking sector. Jean-Philippe Bersier has joined ERI Bancaire in 2002 as Business Development Director. He is in charge of the development of new markets and the management of the sales team. Before joining ERI Bancaire, Mr Bersier was Sales Director for the Financial Markets Division at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Switzerland. He successively worked at Siemens Switzerland before accepting the position of Sales & Marketing Manager at Unicible (acquired by IBM). Mr Bersier holds a MBA in Economics from University of Lausanne (HEC).

      Okyar Tahaoglu - The Interbank Card Center - Director of Digital Payments

      Okyar is the director of digital payment products at BKM (Interbank Card Center). He is responsible for product management and marketing of digital payment platforms. His areas of operation includes Internet payments, tokenization and B2B payments. He has 16 years experience in software development, business development, product management and IT audit experience in banking, telecom and call center industries. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering. Before joining BKM he worked for Turkcell and Is Bank. Interbank Card Centre of Turkey (BKM) was founded in 1990, the company is a result of the partnership of 13 public and private Turkish banks that have come together to find solutions to common problems, and to develop rules and standards for credit and debit cards in Turkey. BKM is now moving forwards with a new strategy that brings advantages for customers and merchants. With partnership of all member banks BKM launched a digital wallet platform: BKM Express in June 2012. BKM Express makes e-commerce transactions easier, faster and more secure for cardholders. BKM Express allows cardholders to shop without sharing card numbers with virtual merchants on any merchant website and benefit from loyalty programmes, rewards, promotions and installment opportunities.

      He had a bachelor’s degree from computer engineering department of Boğazici University. He continued his education in Yeditepe University by completing first the MBA and then Ph. D. on management & organization. He started his professional career in IT unit of Akbank in 1995. He joined KKB in 1997 for the establishment of the first credit bureau of Turkey. He worked as a senior vice president in merchant banking credits department in Fortis Bank during 2008 – 2010. He rejoined KKB in 2011 and he worked as the head of banks & financial organizations business line after assuming various managerial roles as the head of software development, project management, product development and member relations. Since September 2016, he's the Assistant General Manager responsbile from Risk Center Coordination.

      Cuneyt Dincer has completed his primary and secondary education at Arı College. After finishing Science High School, he has entered the Economics Department at Bilkent University in 1997. After graduating in 2001, he had different responsibilities in Turkey's leading financial institutions, related to Online Banking, Websites Management, ATMs, Kiosks, Voice Technologies and Mobile Financial Services. He has taken several managerial positions in all of the digital channels, created new platforms with these technologies, and developed innovative projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing digital channels. In 2007 he has participated Dogus Group as Eureko Insurance Alternative Distribution Channels Manager. After 2009 he has taken managerial roles in the Delivery Channels in Garanti Bank. He has introduced many successful digital projects in the Turkish financial market and led several international award-winning digital applications. Currently, he continues to work in the Garanti Bank as Manager of Digital Strategy.

      After graduating from Hacettepe University Computer Engineering, he worked for internet and e-commerce companies like Akıman, ILAB and Ebay, as a software engineer. He had been an entrepreneur, as founder of Bumoda.com and Rozetle.com.Then, between 2008 and 2016 , Esat has Managed various Mobile Products and Services of Turkcell, as Product Manager. And also he had been instructor of Mobile Product Management and New Generation Analytics courses. Recently he is working as Head of Mobile, at Yapı Kredi Bank concern: digital channels like Mobile Banking, Wearables, IOT, Open Banking API and Fintech programs management.

      Gurhan started his professional life in Fortisbank as Management Trainee on Corporate Banking. By ending 3 years in banking, Gurhan converted his career to IT business and soon became Department Head of Core Banking IT Projects and accordingly Department Head of Retail Banking. Throughout his 8 years IT career Gürhan has successfully built business in both local and international projects. At March 2012 Gurhan has attended the foundation team of Digital Generation Banking at DenizBank as Department Head of Innovative Special Projects. By returning to banking business he has played leading role in building up new generation products and services in past 3 years. He is one of the architecture of award winning products FastPay, Twitter Loan, MobilDeniz, Direct Banking Platform (DijitalDeniz). He has spent many effective efforts resulting with DenizBank’s “Most Innovative Bank Of The Year” and “Global Innovator” title winning. Through the pipeline he gained the MSc degree on “Strategic Marketing and Brand Management”. Now he is working as Digital Generation Banking Senior Vice President, responsible from Mobile Platforms, Direct Banking and Digital Payment Systems. He is also President of DenizBank Innovation Committee coordinating the Innovation process all around the bank.

      He started his career in the midst of 1980 as author and editor at MacWorld, PC World and PC Magazine. He started his professional career in 1993 at IT Department of Pamukbank. Until 2007, he developed Credit Cards banking package and software, he took role in adapting IBM’s Core Banking packet into the design of Pamukbank Core Banking system, he worked as a project manager and technical manager in the installation of many projects like Pamukbank Digiturk TV Banking, Internet Banking. Since 2007 at the unit he worked, he managed ITSM (IT Service Management) and CSI (Continual Service Improvement) projects that supplied comprehensive innovative transformations to implement global best practices in IT by service oriented approach and IT process model compatible to regulations. He has Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and ITIL-Foundation certificates and he was a former board member of ISACA Turkey and itSMF-Turkey Chapter. Currently he is working at IT Governance and Continual Service Improvement Department and he’s responsible from following areas; Project Office, Management of Risk and Compliance, Quality Management, Performance Management, Chance Management, Project and Portfolio Management, Service and Information Architecture Management, Governance and Planning, IT Strategy and Value Management and Continual Improvement.

      Ozge Yilmazkurt - ING Bank - Digital Banking Group Manager

      Ozge Yilmazkurt was born in Izmir in 1979 and she graduated from Computer Engineering Department of Ege University in 2001. She took her MBA degree from Bilgi University in 2010. She started her career at BIMAR Bilgi İslem Hizmetleri A.S. as software expert. Later she worked at this company until 2009 as Senior Project Executive and she took part in the management of all IT Projects. She started to work at Garanti Bank in 2009 as Project Executive and she worked on all big projects related with Alternative Distribution Channels (Internet, ATM, Call Center and Mobile). In 2012, she became ING Bank Mobile Channel Management Department VP. She manages a team that completed so many successful projects like New Responsive ING Bank Website and online Internet Site, ING Mobile Branch, ING Enterprise Mobile Branch, ParaMara, ING Trader and Field Sales Applications. And now she’s been working as Digital Banking Group Manager, responsible for all digital channels; Internet, Mobile, ATM and Dijital Sales, Penetration, Branch and ATM Optimisation.

      Rolf Schroeder - Wacom - Senior Sales Manager EMEA, Business Solutions

      Currently developing the emerging markets and he combines 25 years of successful sales career. He developed the strategic B2B Business for Wacom Signature Solution in the last 15 years and created a 100 Billion Euro Business out of it. Before Wacom he developed the B2B Consumer Market for Canon in Germany for nearly 10 years.

      Born in 1980, Sezer graduated from Computer Engineering Department of Kocaeli University. He got his Master of Science degree on Data Mining. Between 2003-2005 he worked as software consultant at corporate companies and between 2005-2011 he worked at Sabanci Group as senior software engineer. In 2011 he took part as software team leader at Finansbank internet branch, call center channel projects and enpara.com internet and call center channels which was first branchless banking in Turkey. Currently he is working as group manager of internet and mobile banking channels at IBTECH. Also he is a columnist at technology magazines and he is also coaching voluntarily to start-up companies in IT sector.

      Bahar Akin was graduated from TED Zonguldak College and studied Economics in English at Istanbul University. She took various roles at HSBC and Akbank payment systems in the areas of marketing, product management, product development and project management. She joined Garanti Bank Payment Systems in 2013. After working on management and development of Bonus branded credit cards, as of September 2015 she has been working as Digital Products Manager. She is responsible of management of BonusFlas which was chosen the “Best Innovative Product of Year” in 2016 by MasterCard and other digital marketing activities including SEO, digital credit card lead generation, app download, web site optimization and awareness.

      Elife Alagöz obtained her master’s degree on Quantum Physic at Gazi University after she graduated from Physics Engineering Department of Hacettepe University. After the graduation, she decided to work in a different area and started to work as a business analyst in banking sector. She took managerial roles in IT Appplication Development Departments in her last 15 years of professional career. She worked at Egebank, Körfezbank, Osmanlı Bank, Ziraat Bank, Kuwait Bank and currently she is working at Vakıfbank. She worked on nearly all fields of banking like Credits, Treasury, Investment, Call Center Operations, Accounting, Customer, Operation Center Operations, Cheque, Note Payable, Foreign Trade. She participated, managed and supported many transformation and merger projects such as Korfezbank-Osmanli Bank and Osmanli Bank-Garanti Bank merger projects, establishment of Garanti Bank, Korfezbank and Osmanli Bank Operation Center (Abacus), transformation project of Ziraat Bank (Finart), transformation project of Kuwait Turk Bank and finally Vakifbank Transformation Project (VIT). She has been working as Application Development Manager at Vakıfbank since 2010.

      After graduating from Computer Engineering of Bogazici University, he completed his Master of Science at the same university. For 7 years, he did academic study on the areas of ‘computer vision’ , ‘database’ and ‘impedence tomography’. After an experience on establishing a software development company, he joined as an outsource to project based development activities at various software companies. He worked as a contracted expert in the role of DBA at a GSM company in Germany. After returning to Turkey, he joined to Yildiz Holding. He managed the first B2B system development project. He was the assistant of the Chairman on IT in next two years. Later he managed IT R&D, Infrastructure and Support units. He pioneered increasing the Holding’s internet assets and websites over 50 which are mostly brand websites having common content management system. In scope of the SAP project, he took part in the choice of infrastructure technology and outsourcing of the complete infrastructure. He designed a process and structure for Product Development across the Holding on the Project Management environment and he managed a project in which a PPM tool was adopted. Since last 6 years he has been working at IT Department of Vakifbank as Enterprise Architecture Manager and during this period he developed and managed the enterprise architecture with his team at the Bank’s transformation program from legacy systems to completely open systems. His focus is now on Data Governance issues for BASEL regulatory compliance.

      He started his career as Analyst programmer at Banking Sector. In the sector, he developed projects on Datawarehouse data model analyses, ETL, campaign management projects beside projects on profitability of banking products, customers and branches. In 2005 at Turkcell, beside Datawarehouse projects, he developed projects to track KPIs like Value Added Service’s profitability, customer, number and usage. He worked on identification of general KPIs of the institution, creation of new KPIs and control of determined KPIs regularly and presentation of them to the top management. Since 2009 he has been working as IT Manager at Technologic Architecture Management Department of Halkbank. Currently at Halkbank, as part of “IT Performance Management” he works on performance calculation of processes, services, organization and projects within IT, implementation of best practices to IT processes, creation of IT performance reports, establishment and management of environments that will allow management of IT in accordance with KPIs.

      Visal Ahmet Ozten started his career in Garanti Bank in 2000 and he has more than 15 years of experience in Payment Systems. He has also worked for several banks in Turkey and abroad as a manager in Payment Systems Department. Visal Ahmet Özten was working for credit Europe bank in Kyiv and Bucharest for 5 years as Credit Cards Group Head previously and his current position is Manager in Albaraka Turk Participation Bank Alternative Delivery Channels Department. He has completed master’s studies in 2012 in Okan University Banking Department while he holds BA degree. He was a member of Security Council of BKM while he also was a representative in different work groups. He led many projects in Payment Systems Operations, Project and Product Management Departments of different banks. Main projects Visal managed are card schemes projects, EMV conversions, loyalty projects, Display Card which can generate OTP can be mentioned here.
